4. If you use multiple sessions for this license, click on the "Attach" button and select the WoW window. This allows you to pin multiple Grinder to different windows on the same PC.

{% hint style="warning" %}
In order for your frames to be recognized, the following must be observed:

:heavy\_check\_mark: Grinder must be attached to the WoW window.

:heavy\_check\_mark: The addon must be installed.

:heavy\_check\_mark: You must be logged in.

:heavy\_check\_mark: The Auto Setup Guide must be completed.

# Clean Up

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please read beforehand! -> [Game & Frames (Waiting for...)](/getting-started/explanation-grinder#game-and-frames-waiting-for)
{% endhint %}

***

{% hint style="info" %}
Grinder is pixel based and works with the original color scheme. Some addons influence this color scheme. Therefore, we will ensure that this does not happen.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="success" %}
No worries! Your configuration remains intact.
{% endhint %}

***

* Close your WoW client(s).
* Navigate to your WoW folder and select the folder of the game you want to use for Grinder.

{% hint style="info" %}
The folder structure is always the same for each game.

The game folders look like this:\
\`\_classic\_\`\
\`\_classic\_era\_\`\
\`\_retail\_\`
{% endhint %}

* For example, open your \`\_classic\_\` folder.
* Delete the <mark style="color:yellow;">/Cache</mark> folder.
* Open the <mark style="color:yellow;">/WTF</mark> folder and delete everything in it <mark style="color:red;">except your Config.wtf</mark>.
* Now navigate to the <mark style="color:yellow;">/Interface/AddOns</mark> folder and delete all addons except your Grinder addon.

{% hint style="info" %}
You specified the name of the addon during installation. If you didn't specify a name, the addon folder is called "GDR". If you are unsure, click on the Settings symbol in the top left of your Grinder. There you will find your addon name.\
\

{% endhint %}

# Auto Setup

After you have logged in with your character, Grinder will guide you step by step through the Auto-Setup. The window will open automatically. Otherwise, click on the Grinder icon to the left of the minimap.

<figure><img src="/files/y95GNAg1EV5RPCgihDsR" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you are in combat, Grinder will open the Auto-Setup only after you have left combat.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/WuhC5ZXFpJPAOU0gQyn9" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

During Auto-Setup, Grinder will take over the top and bottom action bars. This is where your spells will be placed automatically. In addition, two macros will be created that Grinder will need to execute predefined automations.

<figure><img src="/files/z9q1HCOA5hCA8gayllHj" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Click on Reload to make sure that all settings have been applied.

Then open the main menu by clicking on the Grinder icon to the left of the minimap.

Then click on Save to save your path.

<figure><img src="/files/LQibZrUzOi3Se7KjS25U" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Your path(s) will be displayed sorted in your Pathfinder tab. Create as many paths as you like in your profile. By clicking on the respective path, they will be loaded and displayed on the mini- and world map.

| **Connection Paths** | With Connection Paths you can connect different main paths or use them as a "Walk-Through". |
| **Additional Routes** | Vendor, Trainer, Flight and all other additional routes are attached to main or connection paths. They are triggered/started as soon as one of your predefined conditions applies. |

{% hint style="warning" %}
Please note!

<mark style="color:yellow;">Ghost routes</mark> are the only routes whose direction is not "away" from the path but "towards" them (Graveyard -> Path).
{% endhint %}

***

## Create a Ghost Route

* Place your character at a graveyard near your route and open the recorder by clicking Create Path.

<figure><img src="/files/WINEWuCHmVYpC7u4zHfQ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Depending on the location and route, several graveyards may be possible spawn points. Let your character die on your route to spawn at the next graveyard.
{% endhint %}

* Run your Ghost route to any point on your path. Click Save and select Ghost. Click Save again to assign the Ghost route to your path.

<figure><img src="/files/ibsVTmvAAlpDZSKaAGT0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If there are multiple ghost routes, Grinder will always select the ghost route closest to the graveyard spawn point.
{% endhint %}

***

## Create a Vendor Route

* Place your character near your path and open the recorder with a click on Create Path.
* Click Start and run to the desired vendor.

<figure><img src="/files/qhiWq48oTd831juvHcEZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Using the various checkboxes, you can specify under which conditions a trip to the vendor is required.

<div><figure><img src="/files/d3rU1egErpuii27ZImD4" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure> <figure><img src="/files/tXGZRXZE4U0JdedaZDob" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure></div>

| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Sell** | As soon as your bags are full. |
| **Repair** | As soon as one or more equipped items have less than 20% armor. |
| **Restock** | For purchasing predefined items via the Restock List. (More about this below). |
| **Is in a building** | The first coordinate on the way back is targeted exactly before Grinder starts his way back. |

* If you are not sure, leave it at the default settings.
* Click on Save to save your vendor route.

{% hint style="info" %}
Paths that contain at least one vendor route will show you a small icon under your Grinder icon. By clicking on it, Grinder will go to the nearest vendor route. (Grinder must be started).
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Regardless of your specifications, any vendor will sell and repair if necessary/possible.
{% endhint %}

## Flight, Hearthstone, Ship-Routes and more...

**You know one, you know them all...**

<figure><img src="/files/bWduRPO4qvMxozbTJEkZ" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

The procedure for creating other additional routes is almost <mark style="color:yellow;">the same as creating a vendor route</mark>. All required information (text boxes, selection fields) are provided with tooltips and explain their function in short form. Move the mouse over the respective field to display the tooltip.

If something is forgotten, Grinder will inform you about it. All paths and routes can also be edited later.

## Spell Info's & Action Bars

You have a total of 12 places to complete your rotation. The 2nd action bar is used for this purpose. Grinder will automatically select this action bar for you. Each spell you add will be placed in it in the order you specify.

Grinder processes your rotation according to availability and conditions. There are predefined basic conditions as well as your own.

<figure><img src="/files/EZ5v1Wg9t31yALSMpV8g" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

***

## Spell Types & "More"

Clicking on the spell, macro or item in your list will open the configuration window.

The types Heal and Combat are used exclusively in combat situations. Food/Drink and Out of Combat are only used outside of combat.

Do not recast if active refers to Combat Spells that are active on the enemy, are kept active and should not be recast as long as the spell is active.

## Condition -> Power Type

{% hint style="info" %}
Example:

<mark style="color:yellow;">Player -> Mana -> Smaller or Equal -> 50</mark>\
would specify that the spell should only be executed if:\
Player (your character) has equal or less than 50% mana.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="/files/LiafMExYiBRWQFfleYt5" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Condition -> Item

Can and should be used for conjuring items.\
Enter in the text field the number of items from when this spell should be executed.

<figure><img src="/files/oFE2lyMGBMVwlDhwcLV3" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Condition -> Addition

Sets the distance to the target. Does not refer to Pull or Max. Distance (see Options). Pull and Max. Distance are always given priority.

<figure><img src="/files/cLwAziLmq19bmMFGcPx0" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

## Condition -> Different Spell ID

When using a macro that contains for example /cast SpellName its Spell ID can be fixed by this option. Grinder now understands what your macro does and can process it much better.

Otherwise, it can be used for spells or items whose effect has a different Spell ID than the ID of the spell/item itself.

<figure><img src="/files/zcsiYM3gPBp3rSzDu14B" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>
